ABOUT
I am a potter based in Kalamazoo, Michigan. My practice revolves around decorative ceramics and day-to-day dinnerware. While constructing my pottery, I like to explore the fluidity, as well as the rigidity, of clay with shapes that are either natural or industrial. I also consider the functionality and presentation of the finished product when designing my pottery. The shapes of my pottery are accentuated in various glaze-firing environments, including salt, wood, and raku, to create one-of-a-kind pieces that are both visual and functional.
